There are many people who suffer from teeth grinding disorder. Bruxism, as this condition is officially called, can damage your teeth and gums. It also produces damaging effects not only to your teeth but also to your body as well. It also affects your sleep and disturbs your sleeping partner as well.

If you grind your teeth when you sleep it means that you are not getting the right amount of sleep that you should be getting. In order to treat Bruxism there are many teeth grinding remedies that can help you to stop this habit successfully. These remedies are simple and can be easily done at home.

Before you go to bed at night, you can try chewing on fruits and vegetables like apples, cauliflowers or carrots – something chewy, good for your teeth and with lots of fiber. Chewing is an exercise of the mouth and the gums that calms your mouth effectively before you go to sleep. A calm mouth means that you will have a minimum instance of teeth grinding when you sleep at night.

For relaxation of your jaws you can also use a warm washcloth and run it from one side to another. This prevents your jaws from clenching and prevents headaches as well. If you practice this every night you will soon reduce the Bruxism symptoms, or at least lessen its occurrence and effects. All of the above mentioned teeth grinding remedies are very effective but also very cheap at the same time so why not try some of them as see if it makes any difference.
