PostHeaderIcon The Secrets to Tone Fat Around Your Abs

People are squandering billions of their hard earned cash every year in their search to tone their abs. If you’re looking to tone fat around your abs, then your search is finally over as this article will give you some practical tips and resources to help you develop six pack abs.

There are thousands and thousands of ab exercise equipment in the high street and on the internet that will help you develop six pack abs. There’s the “ab coaster”, “the back stretcher” & “ab exercise”, “the ab circle pro machine” and countless more. You’d think that with all of this marvellous new equipment nearly everyone would be strutting around with trim six pack abs.

Sadly, that’s not the situation

Many of these products will do little or nothing to tone fat around your abs. And that’s because these exercise machines can’t get rid of the layers of fat that sits on top of your stomach.

To tone fat around your abs, you should understand the basics of how your muscles work and how your body burns fat. The first thing that you need to recognise is the difference between muscle and fat. Fat is just surplus or unused calories and is mainly stored in layers on top of the muscle’s tissue. Muscle is made up of fibres that tighten and shorten to create some movement. Fat can’t change into muscle & muscle can’t change into fat! But, it’s possible to lose muscle and can gain excess fat, which is what happens to the majority of people. Therefore if your aim is to tone fat around your abs or have six pack abs, the first thing you have to do is reduce or eliminate the excess fat layers which sit on top of your abs. We all have flat stomachs but it’s just that many ours are covered in excessive fat

PostHeaderIcon Working Out the Bicep Muscles

Bicep muscles are a holy grail for men. If you ask them which part of their body they would most like improved they would say the biceps. This is because these muscles are the ones that are seen most on a normal day. Wearing a t-shirt or tank top will display the bicep muscles.

There are many ways to work out the biceps. The most popular and well known is the bicep curl. This involves curling a barbell with both arms while standing, or a dumbell one arm at a time. This exercises is what we call an isolation exercising meaning it hits the biceps and not much more. It isolates the particular muscle group. There are many variations on the way a bicep curl can be performed.

The first is the range of motion used. Some people think it is beneficial to use heavier weight and only curl half way through the motion. The reasoning is lifting heavier weights will encourage more muscle growth. This is a valid argument but not definitively proven.

Super sets means doing 3 sets of curls in one go only the weights vary. The first set is done with the heaviest weight. As soon as this set is done the medium weight set is next. After that the lightest set is performed. This is done to completely exhaust the biceps leading to more muscle growth.

Which is the best way? Both variations are good for bicep muscle growth which is why it is best to do both. Mixing up the way you lift weights will stop your body from becoming accustomed to a certain variation and continue to grow.
